Meet the Team
DANNY Danielle, aka Danny, has been working at the Pet Hospital of Peñasquitos since early 2003. Danny has worked both as a veterinary assistant and veterinary receptionist and excels in her work. Danny is also the Hospital Manager which keeps her very busy. Danny is a local in the Rancho Peñasquitos neighborhood so you may see her around. Danielle's job is to try to make your visit to our hospital as friendly and efficient as possible. If you should ever have a question or concern, you can always count on her to work with you to make sure you and your pet are happy. Danny has been keeping her ball python, Godiva, for 8 years & her western hognose, Hick for 7 years. daniellelamoray@pethospitalpq.com
LIZ Elizabeth, AKA Liz, started at the Pet Hospital of Peñasquitos doing an internship through the Regional Occupation Program for both veterinary assistant and veterinary reception at Grossmont Community College courses. Liz was hired by the Pet Hospital of Peñasquitos as a veterinary receptionist in July 2003. In 2004 Liz became full time working as a veterinary receptionist and veterinary assistant, a "techceptionist", and has been with us ever since. Liz has a big family with three young daughters, Sammie, her 7 year old cockapoo, and a bearded dragon. She has great understanding about balancing the care of your pet and explaining procedures to little people. This is only one of many ways Liz makes the Pet Hospital of Peñasquitosa fantastic hospital.
MEAGAN Meagan came to the Pet Hospital of Peñasquitos during her externship with the Veterinary Assistant Program at PIMA Medical Institute. She then enrolled in PIMA's Registered Veterinary Technician Program and graduated as Valedictorian of her class in February 2011. Meagan joined the Pet Hospital of Peñasquitos in September 2010. Meagan is now a Registered Veterinary Technician. We are pleased to have Meagan as one of our team! Meagan is currently keeping one cat, Kitty Kitty, a Savannah Monitor, Sam, and a bearded dragon named Iggy.
Summer Summer's interest in reptiles led her to the veterinary field. She worked as a technician for the Pet Hospital of Peñasquitos from 2001-2005. In 2006 she moved to Arizona where she attended Arizona State University. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in December 2011 with a BS in Sustainability and a minor in Urban Planning and a minor in Conservation Biology. She is back at the Pet Hospital of Peñasquitos as a part-time technician with the goal of finding a full-time career within her field of study. Currently, her menagerie includes 2 cars, Lelu and Sputnik, 2 tortoises, Lou and Mr. Trouble, and one bearded dragon, Tyke.
Shawna Started as a
volunteer at the Pet Hospital of Peñasquitos while doing her veterinary
technician internship program. Shawna is a certified Equine Sports Massage
Therapist. She has 3 horses, 2 border collies, 2 miniature schnauzers, and 4
koi. Shawna has lived in Ramona most of her life. She is in the process of
studying for VTNE to become a licensed veterinary technician.
